City police seek information on early morning home invasion

ROANOKE RAPIDS — Home invasion suspects are on the run as the Roanoke Rapids Police continue to seek information on an early morning home invasion.

Deputy Police Chief Adam Bondarek said at 2 a.m. Wednesday, three black males brandishing a knife entered a residence on Jackson Street in the downtown area of Roanoke Rapids.

“They demanded sneakers and money,” he said.

The suspects left the home with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and property.

Bondarek said the Rapids Police Detective Division is actively working leads in this case to identify the perpetrators.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Roanoke Rapids Police Department at 252-533-2810, the Halifax County Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444 or just dial 911.
