Robert ‘Bobby’ Glynn Long

ROCKY MOUNT — Robert “Bobby” Glynn Long, 56, passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009.

He was born July 14, 1953, in Fairfield County, S.C. Bobby was a devoted member of Faith Family Worship. He was a loving husband, father and brother and loved to fish. Bobby served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a long time employee of Flambeau of Weldon, where he was called “friend.”

He leaves behind a host of family and friends in the Lord. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Long.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Betty Long Walker; his wife of 22 years, Carrie Long; one loving son, Daniel Long, all of the home; two daughters, Doris Long Keen of Nashville, Amy Guy of Pennington Gap, Va.; two stepdaughters, Tammy Baker and her husband, Sterling, of Nashville, Crystal Hill and her husband, J.D., of Harrison, Ark.; two brothers, Steve Long and his wife, Teresa, of Roanoke Rapids, Jerry Long of Kansas City, Kan.; seven grandchildren, Danielle Goldenberg, Robert Sanders III, Derek Long, Savannah Keen, Nathan Baker, Caleb Keen and Braxton Hill; and a host of family and friends.

 Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m., today, Nov. 17, at Faith Family Worship Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the chapel of the church, with the Rev. Gerald Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations, 1052 South First Street, Nashville NC 27856 is handling the arrangements.
