Geneva Jordan Faulkner

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Geneva Jordan Faulkner, 83, of Portsmouth, Va., died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, five days before her 84th birthday.

Mrs. Faulkner was born in Northampton County, the daughter of the late John Henry Jordan and Berta Thompson Jordan. Mrs. Faulkner was preceded in death by her sisters, Ellie Vick and Gladys Blanton; and one brother, Raymond Jordan.

She is survived by four daughters, Elaine Smith and her husband, David, of Portsmouth, Helen White and her husband, Pete, of Faber, Va., Janet Wagner of Fayetteville and Marie Weaver of Farmville, Va.; three sons, Butch Faulkner and his wife, Joy, of Thailand, Larry Faulkner and his wife, Vivian, of Harper Height, Texas, and Bruce Faulkner and his wife, Nita, of Lanagan, Mo.; 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Reynold Jordan and his wife, Mary, of Garysburg; and two sisters, Cinderella Camara and her husband, Al, of Garysburg, and Janie Powell of Roanoke Rapids.

 A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., today, Nov. 3, at Grove Park Baptist Church in Portsmouth.

Wrenn, Clarke, & Hagan Funeral and Cremation Service in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements.
