Please try to work on the front office atmosphere at Conway Middle School.  Students are being sent to the office all day long.  They are sitting there upset and should not be in the front office.  Please find some where else to send them while they are angry and waiting to speak to someone.  When visitors come to your school they do not want to feel the cold wind that exist in the front office.  Sometimes people come in to monitor your school from the state level.  Not a good idea to have problems in the front office.  Why do you have so many behavior issues anyway?

" I have to agree with the mother/parent from another school system. If children are disciplined at home then there is a pretty good chance they aren't going to misbehave at school. I find the whole ISS (in school suspension) a joke. The one's that disrupt the classrooms do it alot of times to get out of having to sit in class, they are allowed to do their work and it is just like a slap on the hand. Instead of allowing them to sit in a room all day working on their classroom assignments, put them to work and I am talking physical work. Give them a zero for every assignment missed while in ISS and make them pick up the trash around the school yard, wash the school buses and if need be, help the janitors scrub a few toilets. Start making it harder on them and I'll bet the other students that are at school to actually get an education might be able to learn and maybe our teachers would go home with a few less headaches! " There are alot more problems at Conway Middle School than students sitting in the office. What about the principal that did not come to her own PTA. That principal just likes to put on a show and I hope the higher powers open their eyes and see this before she destroys that school!! "

" As a parent who is often at Conway Middle School I can say I rather see a "mad" child in the office for some "timeout" than in the classroom causing disruptions. BUT the school does have an In School Suspension person who everytime I am at school is walking the halls or in the office. Why pay this person to do nothing? "

" We have so many behavior problems because parents are not raising their children now. Some of these kids are so disrespectful. That comes from home. They run over their parents and come to school thinking they can run over us. "

" Maybe people from the state level should see that our children are angry. Maybe that would give some insight about the school in general. Where else are the children suppose to go? What do you want them to do, go in the bathroom and cry? "
