Phyllis Hughes Brake BRADENTON, Fla. — Phyllis Hughes Brake, 75, passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, in Bradenton, Fla. Phyllis was born in Roanoke Rapids and lived in North Carolina until moving to Bradenton 12 years ago to be near family. Phyllis was known for her love of dogs and generous loving spirit. She was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Vickie. Survivors include a daughter, Robbin Sayre and her husband, Don, of Palmetto, Fla.; a brother, Edgar Barnes of Douglas, Ga.; and her sisters, Alma Carawan of Columbia, S.C., and JoAnne Bright of Roanoke Rapids. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Roanoke Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made to the Human Society of Manatee County or Tidewell Hospice. |
